Walls of Jericho

'Walls of Jericho' are a hardcore/metalcore band that has one defining feature: a female singer. Now this may not be a big thing in most genres but when epic screaming comes to the fore, the fairer sex hasn't had to much historical experience. But who cares, she freaking rocks. I didn't realise that she screamed as well as sang 'clean' until a mate told me.
They are pretty nuts, similar to Aussie band 'The Dead Walk' if anyone knows them. They've just released an 'accoustic' (read: softer) EP Redemption, which is more just hard rock, but it's still very good listening. It features Corey Taylor of 'Slipknot' and 'Stone Sour' fame on a couple of tracks, and despite Slipknot being rubbish, he can really sing.
Other than that I only know their most recent album With Devils Amongst Us All which I love. It's fairly brutal, as Nathan Explosion would say. Epic guitar, crunchy breakdowns, everything you want in a metalcore album.
I'm trying to think of another band they are similar to, but they don't have the catchier aspects of more 'pop' metalcore bands like Bullet for My Valentine or Avenged Sevenfold. Minimal clean singing etc, just craziness entirely. But their style reminds me alot of 'The Dead Walk' as I said above. So if you like Jericho, check out Dead Walk and vice versa.
