The Noise Fanatic

Welcome to The Noise Fanatic, a new blog regarding music. I'm still unsure of exactly what I'm going to be doing with it but I'm sure it will come together.
My musical taste is pretty wide, but generally I'll find myself listening to music on the metal end of the scale. But that's not particularly helpful, as people who listen to certain types of metal claim that all other types aren't real metal. So after some careful wikipedia-ing I think I can safely say, certain metalcore, hardcore, 'sludge metal' and progressive metal are probably my most listened to genres.
In what I think I'll make a recurring post, and to give a bit of an example of what I mean by those genres, here is a brief list of what album's (I'm very much and album rather than individual song person) I'm listening too right now.
Cog - Sharing Space
Baroness - The Red Album
Dillinger Escape Plan - Ire Works
The Fall of Troy - The Fall of Troy
The Bronx - The Bronx (II)
Some new, some old(ish). But probably my top 5 most listened too albums of the past, say month. And definately worth a listen if your into this sorts of music.

While I was never big on sleaze, Appetite for Destruction continues to blow me away. Virtually every track is great, it's got so much more than the standard Paradise City, Sweet Child you hear so often

I'm LOVING this template, by the way. The banner, the colors, fonts... Well done.

I'm thinking that I'm going to have to give a bit of a review on any albums I talk about here. Quality music can so easily be missed simply because it's not a style you generally listen too, I know I'm guilty of it. So I think I'll bust out a couple of overviews of these in the next couple of days.

Looking forward to the reviews. Welcome aboard to the music channel.
